When will it be your time?
To step out of the facade you hold so dear.
I feel for you.
I understand now, so much more clearly
what this really means.

You really do need to “reveal yourself.”
Recognize yourself.
Be honest with yourself.
Own who you are.

It is only the lying that makes it wrong.
Whatever your desires, your preferences
they are pure if you are honest about them.
No one can fault you for that.

Living life with your feet planted
in two realities is draining, exhausting
and you are damaging your soul.

Good Luck. I hope one day out of the blue
you will call me and give me the real truth.
I imagine it would be your freest moment.

I enjoyed your post. I don’t think
it is a question of, what if? I believe
it is a certainty. We do it out of
self preservation and I would venture
to say that most aren’t aware of their
masks. I think the peeling away of the layers
comes as you begin to be aware of the
differences between what you feel and
what you project. What a lot of work!!
